Frequently Asked Questions Regarding the Use Fee
Who can purchase the Use Fee?
Use Fees can be purchased by SVCA members (property owners) in good standing, or by tenants of SVCA members in good standing. Either the owner or the tenant can purchase the Use Fee, not both.

How does the Use Fee Program work?
The program is based on the calendar year and is effective January 1st through December 31st of the current year. Use Fee amounts are pro-rated after summer beginning in September.
The first time you purchase the Use Fee Recreation takes a photograph of every family member signing up (quailfying members must reside in the home). Photo ID Cards are then created and issued to each. These ID cards carry a computer chip that communicates to the reader boxes at each facility. When you show your ID card to the reader box a green light will appear and the door unlocks for your access. If you get a red light, the door will not unlock, and you will need to renew your annual Use Fee.

ID Cards allow access to certain facilities according to the age of the card holder. The card grants no access to card holders under the age of 7. Ages 7-15 have access to the tennis and basketball courts. The Marina boat launches are added at age 16 (with proof of certified courses taken), and the Adult Center is added at age 21.

In case your ID card is lost or stolen, contact the Rec Center at 360-312-5189 or Admin at 734-6430 immediately.

How can I purchase the 2008 Use Fee?
If you purchased the 2005, 2006 or 2007 Use Fee and wish to purchase it for 2008, there is no need to come in. You can simply complete the Use Fee Form and mail it with your payment or call us with your credit card information and we will re-activate your card. It's that simple!

First time purchasers will need to come to Recreation to complete the Use Fee Form and to get their picture taken. New ID cards take approximately 5 business days to produce..

DO NOT THROW YOUR ID CARD AWAY! Even if you decide not to renew the Use Fee, you should carry the card with you when using any amenities such as the trails, parks, and beaches. You can also show your ID card at Bob's Restaurant for a 10% discount! Please note that there is a $15.00 charge to replace a lost or damaged ID card.
Note: You will need Adobe Reader to open the above Use Fee Form.

If you are renewing your Use Fee and already have an ID card, your card will be activated within five business days. It is also available for those who choose not to purchase the Annual Use Fee and want to use the facilities for the dayor week only. Day passes are available at the Recreation Center.
