Aquatechnex will be on site on Thursday, August 27th, to spray approved aquatic herbicide on invasive waterlilies in Lake Louise. Because of the size of the lake, they plan to be on site for the entire day. The herbicide being used is Imazamox. WA State Department of Ecology states that, “Imazamox is only toxic to plants and is considered practically non-toxic to animals, fish, invertebrates, and other non-plant aquatic species.” There are no recommended water-use restrictions following the application of Imazamox.
